Default Age/Score White Tail Buck 10pt 8pt/9pt.

hey guys.

I have these two buck on my farm currently. 140acres in Fayette county, Texas.

The 10point I seen mid November hunting in the PM. let it walk.

The 8pt or possible 9pt hard to tell what he is, is a new buck. Just showed up on my cam.

how old do you think these are? Would it be wise to let one of these walk, or let both walk, or shoot one of them? are they shooters?

one month left of hunting, if we let them walk, i sure hope the neighbors do not shoot them.

thank you, let me know.

Aaron.

I would say the 10 is 3 1/2 year old for sure, the eight probably the same, possibly a year younger. Let em go, let em grow. Especially if you think the neighbors could have shot them. This gives them a great chance to be 150-160 next year. We pass them on our property, but there's public land two miles down the road, and they mostly all get shot which sucks. Good luck.

It doesn't suck for the lucky hunters who bag them.

That 8-pointer looks young and big. Like an awesome 2.5 year old. Maybe 3.5 at most. He's gonna be a giant.

good deal!
I am glad I let the 10pt walk. my guess on him was about 3.5 yrs old as well.

the 8pt, youngin', will be a beast next year if he survives the next month!

thanks for the replies! much appreciated!

good luck as well!
thanks.
