Swamp bucks in Minnesota
 

Plan on hunting marshes/swamps in Minnesota , looking for any tips you guys would have to give! Thanks in advance!

Search Dan Infalt on Youtube. He has a lot of good marsh buck tactic videos.

Basically scout transitions, play the wind, look for islands with large trees as that will be a high spot with likely bedding as marsh land wont support the bigger trees. Watch your thermals in the evening as they will be pulling to the water in the evenings.

I have a spot I'm going to try to sneak into some islands before daybreak, Friday so hopefully I find good deer sign thanks!

Northern swamps or in the SE corner? I'm in the SE corner near the Whitewater valley and there are some super swamp opportunities there.

There is a huge variety of habitat and terrain types in Minnesota, and most regions will have swampy wetlands, where are you headed?

I can't speak much on tactics as I don't hunt swamps, but would a good set of waders be of help, maybe to get to that out of the way hide-hole that no hunter ever gets to?

Yes there is! I love it down there. I hunt Whitewater and Richard J Dorer a lot, and there are some nasty places that only a few of us will venture back into. lol
