Tricky to estimate sometimes. If you are an inch off on each tine, a 9-pointer could be +/- 9 inches. Miss the mass measurements by 1/2 inch and you're off by another 4 inches. 13 inch swing and only being off by only 1/2 to an inch per point. And each angle makes a point look a different length.

rest assured unless he's a 240# buck, he ain't 22" inside, right side tine length is weak, mass ain't that good, gonna go with 140-142 net, tops

I have two bucks in the wall that were 21 inch spread and he is way wider than them. Figure 16 inch ear-tip span and he's way past the ear tips on both sides.

He's not rutted out now, but he is a pretty big deer. I'd say he's go 225 live weight with ease in a month.

I can't ever tell from pics. Never could. Dad had a little talent for it but I just never could get it right. Now from binoculars or a scope I'm fairly accurate but I guess my cognitive center just cant figure it out from just a 2 dimensional image. Nice little deer though.

I don't do much score guessing really. Its pretty tough to guess scores from pictures of deer from totally different regions than I'm used to but he is a mature deer and certainly a shooter. I wouldn't even worry about the score.

Ive got one that is very similar and I don't really care what he scores. Like lugnut he has the wow factor with the width but his antler score probably won't do him justice.

Adding a couple pictures that show his spread in relation to his ears.

Assuming his ears are 16 I'd say his inside spread is 22.5

That seems pretty close. After years of trail cam pics and seeing him spotting, and even once in our backyard, we all agree that he is 26 inches outside. That would put him somewhere around 23 inside.....so 22.5 is a pretty good guess.

Now I have to get him. I gotta know.
