how do u..
 
i was wondering how you put SnoSeal on your boots...do you use a rag, your fingers, or a brush?? this is my first time putting a water sealer on boots. i know ive gotta heat the boots up but just wondering how to apply the seal...lol. it doesnt say how to apply it. just wondering how any of u do it??

I use my fingers and then heat the boots up with a hair dryer.

I hope they aren' t gortex as they need to breath and snoseal will prevent this from happening. If not than as timber said works fine.

they are a pair of military boots my brother gave me.

When I was in the military I would put them in the oven until they got nice and toasty. Then I would take a papper towel and apply the seal, it would melt right into the leather. A hair drier will work also, just make sure the material is worm enough to melt the sno-seal. That way it penetrates the boot better

This is an excellent method. The following is just to prevent readers from making the same mistake I have :). A good rule of thumb when heating leather in an oven, with a hair dryer, by a fire, etc is never heat it any warmer than your skin can tolerate. That way you won' t dry, crack or shrivel it.
