RE: Hunting Buddy or Partner?

Sorry about your Buddy/ partner. My preference would be not to have either I already got a wife.

I just went thru the same thing, my best friend and hunting pardner went behind my back. I' ve learned in my years that you better keep your eyes and ears open when it comes to women and deer. Men will do things they normally wouldn' t consider to get either.

I would, be tinkled that he took a great deer...it is what I had hoped for and why I shared ideas with him.
Maybe that is why he turned bad, you tinkled!! Seriously, I would move on. Good hunting buddies are few and far between, from what I' ve heard. The fewer close ones you have, the better. I practice what my dad taught me years ago, " Keep your mouth shut, and your ears and eyes open." and man, that has saved me many times, in my hunting experiences AND every day life. ;)

RE: Hunting Buddy or Partner?

Most of you guys are very lucky to have people like that. I have never had a hunting partner who we could plan hunting trips or to call to scout or help find a deer and pull him out of the woods. I wish I had one but for now I am by myself. But if I had someone do that I would be very upset and would not hunt with him anymore. He would just be one of the non hunting buddies.
