Default Northeast Big Buck Club - Dad has #1 Typical

My 86 year old dad shot his best buck this past season. We got it scored by the Northeast Big Buck Club at the show and it turns out to be the biggest PA gun typical of 2016. We are heading up to the banquet in MA in July, where he will be honored. Nice going dad.

Here's the buck

Good buck for sure. You should take the rack to the PGC to measure and get it in the PA book.

Good call. When we get the buck back from the taxidermist we'll have to do that. Thanks for the tip.

Good for him. I'm more impressed he's still hunting at 86 than the deer.

I've got 14 more years of hunting if I last as long as him. Whoop!

He was an old buck. We saw him one year and found his shed and got a trail cam pic of him another year. In his prime, he was a perfect 10 pointer. Lots of character now.

It only scored around 130. That l left side really hurt it. One of those bucks that is bigger than its score reflects.

still a great buck
but, I have to ask, HOW did it score 130 inches and be the biggest buck in 2016??
was it JUST the biggest buck scored by those that measured it it?
OR Biggest in the state??
as I know a few guys my way that shot 150+ bucks in 2016 rifle season??

NOT trying to take away anything from your dad, as again GREAT buck and hats off to him

just trying to figure out the BEST Buck of 2016 rifle deal??
