Sore my rearend! Rules are rules and two of the winners, as well as the people running the contest, did not follow the printed rules!

Actually born again Topgun is correct. These are the original rules for the contest.

"Step one is to click and fill out an IMB Outfitters brochure form here. Next, post your name and a picture of you on your favorite hunt in the contest thread. Once the contest has come to a close, eligible contestants will be selected at random by HuntingNet.com staff and winners will be announced on June, 17th".

I doubt he cares if he didn't win so much as not having an even playing field! If you set rules, you should abide by them. I wonder where the mods are on this, at least one entered the contest.

I didn't enter as I have no use for contests, but I agree. Rules are rules.

That's exactly the reason I made the posts. Cripes, I'm going out to Wyoming again for two months like I do every year in the fall and probably couldn't even fit the top prize hunt into my schedule, but I thought maybe I'd win the turkey hunt to go to MO in the Spring for that. Actually two Mods entered the contest. One gave his first name and the other didn't give any name at all and then when he announced he was leaving the site on another thread he went in and deleted his post entering the contest.

Congrats to the winners. Kelly, I expect you'll take a really good buck. Be sure to share about how these hunts go. Great opportunity for ya'll.

He is implying that they gave it to someone they know or wanted to win. If he did not care he would not even be posting to the thread.

I agree that when rules are in place , they should be inforced.
BUT, implying that people are cheating is wrong, and shows a sore loser.

Did you look at the buck he shot? It should have placed if not won.

You're the one that should stay off this thread because you say the rules should be enforced and the guy didn't comply with them just like the second place winner. I didn't imply anything about cheating and stated exactly why the contest wasn't run properly so you can take a hike since you have no idea why I posted unless you're a mind reader. I hunt for two months in Wyoming every year so not winning the contest was no big deal, but rather the way it wasn't conducted properly.
