Mature bucks and scrapes.
Where I hunt I found a scrape line. Four big scrapes along a corn field. There is a set of tracks that looks to be from a big bodied deer, I'm assuming a buck. The scrapes are 10-15 feet from each other. One of the scrapes you can see where he was using the tip of his antlers as well. I wonder if this is a mature buck. I have had tresspassers come on this property as you can read on another post and also people driving down the road all day long. I believe most of the deer using this spot is nocturnal. Going to set up a stand there next fall and hoping to catch him in early bow season. I have a feeling this buck is old and big.
Here is a picture of the track.
Gonna put a my moultrie cam in that area very soon.http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/g...s/IMG_0010.jpg

follow his trail back---find trail, tracks rubs scrapes etc, back toward his bedding area or at least staging area--if you have tresspassers and road traffic you will be better served getting back much further !!!
