My First Archery Deer
 

Shot my first deer with a bow last night. He doesn't have a very big rack but has a big body. He had a slight limp and he gave me a 7 yard shot. Had a great hunt and got some meat for the freezer.

He seemed to be an older deer based on body and when i cut into him. Where I hunt this is the typical sized rack we get there is just to much pressure. He had a bigger body than a big 8 I shot a few years ago. This video doesnt do his body any justice.

Would you pass on a limping buck?

Did he look like he had previously been hit or that his limp was due to a recent injury?

I didn't notice anything major he was bleeding a little bit from a small wound almost looked like a bb shot
