ORIGINAL: cardeer

I would strip naked and do a indian dance right past him

.....****SHUDDER!!!!*****........

That' d work for me!

Seriously though I' ve had that happen and I just yell out, " Hi there! I don' t suppose you could find some other place to hunt?" and if he' s a jerk just keep talking to him in a loud voice every minute or two. Eventually they always leave. I' m not going to share 30 yards of space with some idiot so if he' s going to sit there I' m going to make sure neither of us sees an animal the entire time.

I would have left, but I would have taken a couple of shots at imaginary coyotes before doing so.

Similar thing happened last year to me. I was in a tree for about an hour and a half when a guy came up and sat down on a fallen tree. I wistled at him. He looked and said...." I' ve been hunting here all season, I' M SITTING HERE" . I said " you gotta be kidding me" . He just said TOO DAMN BAD. I called him an A-HOLE, and he told me to come on down and say it to his face....I did!!!!!

Upon climbing down the guy realized I' m a larger person and just said whatever. I moved on my way.

Looking back, I would have just shut my mouth and moved. I ended up moving anyway. As much as I wanted to kick his _ _ _ I held back. It was killing me the rest of the evening. Some people are just ignorant. This happened public land in MI. In IL this can' t happen. We have to sign into an area. I think it' s a nice setup and it keeps people from getting ino tiffs with each other.

the same thing happened to me and to of my cousins in Ga. a few years back.

we were there well befor first light.about a hr. later a guy comes by me,I whisle and he walks up,I tell him there are two other guys on this ridge.he walks away toward Buddy, and in about 5 min I hear a shot.I see orange going through the trees back the way the guy came from.:D
Later on we get back together Buddy,Bermon, and myslef.it seems the guy get to where Buddy was and he told him the same thing I did.the guy walks anout 50 yards ahead of Buddy and sets down against a big pine tree.well Buddy is hot by now,he picks a tree about 15 yards ahead of the guy and 15 yards to one side and blasted the bark off and hollered shot him he' s a big one...........needless to say the guy left in a hurry.[:o]

in your friends case I would do the same;start shooting and holler shot him;which way did he go;all the while I would be like CD said naked.[:o]:D:D

Sooo, I would probably go back to my stand for an hour or so and cough , in a yelling tone ask him if he has seen anything yet , pee off the front of my stand , beat the mud off my boots against the tree , fake some sneezes , break the twigs hanging around me and throw them to the nearest clump of dry leaves and for good measure call his dog a filthy, flea bidden mongrel and curse him as a mutt . If that doesn' t pI$$ him off enough to leave, I would leave and find another corner of public land to hunt in cause I don' t want to be around someone that thick headed or inconsiderate !
LOL, thats probably what I would do, but since we hunt National Forest Land, ya its public, Most of the people that hunt where we do, know where everyone has a stand and most of the people respect those spots !! It seems to have worked well for the last 20 some years where we hunt.

It is a shame that we have idiots like that to cope with! As one has said, he could have been an anti that just wanted to ruin someones hunt, or just a plain old rude idiot, claiming his " right" to public land! If the spot was really that great of a spot, I guess I' d have to leave, hoping for another day, otherwise I' d stay and make sure that neither of us would see any animals the rest of the day!
Because of idiots like this, I decided long ago that I would only hunt on private land or leased land! With all these idiots on public land it is a wonder we don' t have more hunting accidents than we do!
