Game camera question

I am new to hunting and just recently joined a club that is 2 hours away from my house. I am wondering if anyone has any tips for a game camera to purchase. I can't run to check it every weekend so any tips or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

I am sure there are tons of treads about game cam's
MY suggestion is BUY a good one, buy a good lock and cable for it, and if possible/legal a good bear box you can lag bolt it to a tree to prevent it from getting stolen
IMO< Cuddy back makes the BEST metal bear box on the market, actually protects camera and LOCK, all the rest leave the darn lock exposed and any mororn with bolt cutters can have your camera

next is, spray down camera and battery's in a scent killer, keep cam in a zip lock scent free baggie and wear gloves when you place it

MOST all good camera's will allow for a couple thousand pictures off a set of battery's
so, a few weeks in the woods shouldn't hurt or be a issue's unless over a very well used bait station, then you will need to add a solar powered charger/sully system to not have it go dead while away!
been running trail cam's since the 90's, so have a little experience here with them LOl

mrbb thanks for your help. When should I set the camera up? In Alabama and bow season opens mid October. How often do you move the camera to a different location. Thanks again

I use Moultries. I buy from Native Outdoors or Rogers sporting goods. They also have a bear box(metal security enclosure).
I leave my Moultries out all year long and only change batteries when they get to less than 20% charge which is about twice a year. I recently just got my 1st bobcat picture and have them placed to now mark my turkey patterns I need.
I just checked on camera I have not looked at since Dec 20th. It has over 3,000 pictures.
