Years ago hunting with the bow i hit a doe in the lungs, it took about three hours + to find her very little blood. THE ENTRANCE LUNG PARTS CAME OUT AND BLOCK TO HOLE OTHER SIDE BROKEN SHAFT, AGAIN LITTLE BLOOD FOUND HER ON HANDS AND KNEES.

I have found lots of deer on my hands and knees but if you shoot one in an open field and she is not dead in the open field and you can't go on the neighbors there is not much you can do.

Sucks. First time for everything, I guess.

DJ you know anyone with a dog? Dang wish \I was closer as I have a Draht that would blood track.

Try finding someone from the VDD Dog Club in your area. It's amazing what those animals will do for you.

If you never lost a deer, then you were blessed!! I lost a deer during archery and it bugged the hell out of me for a long time. Nothing worse then thinking that the animal suffered at my hand!

I must say that next time take a little more time to look. Your time was too short.
