If I knew meat came from a deer that had CWD, I would not eat it. Right now it is not transmissible to humans, however, prions have a nasty habit of mutating and jumping species boundaries. To each his own, but I will play it safe.

It would be a shame but I would not eat it.

No way. I can't remember the exact details but would believe they could be found relatively easily. Several hunters in MN ate deer infected with CWD at a game supper. I believe several of them suffered several otherwise unexplainable health issues. Not sure of all the details.

So 1 yes and 12 no votes. Truthfully, I don't think I would eat it either but if I were in my later years then maybe yes. So 13 no votes. I would be, however more inclined to say yes than years back. There has not proven to be a link, and I am sure some positive CWD deer have been consumed.

So does EVERYBODY in the CWD zones have their deer tested?

No in my zone, when or if it gets there, I will not be hunting there.

here they do not test them, just once in a while they'll test road kills to see if its spreading.
