Show your deer rifle

Mine is 20 years old. It's a Ruger 77 stainless sythetic in .300 win mag. (Nobody else ever tags my deer!). I hated that old sythetic stock but the gun is a tack hammer. A couple years ago I had it restocked with a Boyd's laminated and had the Cabela's gunsmith pillar bed and glass bed the action and free float the barrel. I put an aftermarket lighter weight trigger spring in it and it's rare if I can't get all shots touching or in the same hole at 100 yards. A couple elk, black bear, numerous whitetail bucks and a Wyoming mule deer have fallen to it. None went more then five feet.

My main hunting rifle for the past decade has been a Ruger MkII stainless laminate in .270 win... nobody tags my deer either... or moose.. or elk.. or wolf

Oddly enough I don't actually have any picures of it with a deer!

Mine scoped deer gun is similar to sconnyhunters. Older model Ruger 77 Ultralite with a Zeisse 3X9 scope in 30-06. Killed a ton of deer, elk and caribou. I also use a "Benoit style" Remington 7600 carbine in 30-06 with a Williams peep and a fire dot front sight when hunting the thicker big woods of northern New England. No pictures though.

Why? Just because you aren't capable of doing it doesn't give you the right to criticize others who can.

Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean others shouldn't challenge themselves.:nonono2:

I consider what RR and others have accomplished in long range shooting as exceptional. To hone long range skills must take a huge investment on equipment and lots of time on the range.

Ohh, here we go again. Next he'll tell us he is capable of shooting that group at 1,000 yards, but chooses to not shoot at game over 65yards because he is a better sportsman and much more ethical. Keep poking holes RR.
