Many times I have eaten tenderloins within an hour of killing the deer. Gut it, drag it, hang it, skin it, and cut the tenderloins out, straight to the pan. I've also eaten heart shortly after the kill. I let the rest hang if possible.

I cannot even begin to count the number of times I have eaten deer back strap back or tenderloin grilled over a bed of camp fire oak or hicky wood coals. The idea of getting the "runs" ... sure that is possible but the way I see it as long as I have the meat cleaned well and it was not contaminated with feces or urine ..... fresh killed is about as good as it gets.

The lymph nodes are the only thing I take direct consideration to remove from an animal.
They are easily removed when I trim off the fat from the muscle groups.

I have never removed a gland unless I am removing the whole hide, I do skin the deer as soon as possible. It is good for the meat as well as being easier to skin. It is the same with small game especially squirrels, skinning while warm is a whole lot easier!
I went on a hunt in NC and they would take the deer out, guts included, and pull the hide off with a winch working from the head back. Pretty slick operation when the deer is warm, not good if you are going for a mount.

While I age mine, I have no problem eating a fresh kill as some often do in deer camp.

I used to do deer camp with a group that went wild with fresh deer liver and onions. All hell broke loose in that camp if you didn't cook the liver ASAP.

I like liver n onions sometimes but never been a big fan of venison liver. I loves me some calf liver and Bison liver is the bees knees but I've just never been able to really like venison liver.

I never cared for any liver. Part of the guts on my field dressing.

So I guess our incisor and canine teeth are just there for show KelvinPadilla? I guess we are designed as a predatory species just for looks? You know, eyes forward facing as almost all predatory species? And as far as your evolutionary concept goes, Apes are opportunistic just as we are. They evolved, just as we did, by being able to digest just about any food source. It is believed in most scientific circles that eating meat is the reason our brains developed more. The more successful we became with the use of tools, the better hunters we became and that increase in meat intake caused higher brain development. Something the vegans can't seem to understand. Maybe their lack of meat intake lessens their ability to grasp concepts?

Actually Chimps will kill and eat meat. Hard to believe we were infiltrated by a vegan! Oh well, if they want to graze like a sheep, let them, more meat for me. Nothing wrong with vegies, as an accoutrement to meat.
