I agree RR in the numbers of deer different parts of the country can shoot.. We can shoot in the expanded archery zones as many as we want to.. But, over all only 1 is allowed state wide unless your a large land owner who allows hunting on their land then they can shoot 2 deer.. Now our deer are weighed dressed out which would clearly put the 2 biggest ones I have posted is very handy to the 400lb live weight range as well.
Who eats better? That depends on what you enjoy eating I guess. Here with less farm lands and more wooded land our deer taste different.. My brother shot 2, 2 days ago in Tenn. They in no way taste the same being their food source is mainly soybeans and corn. They very clearly do not taste the same as deer living on buds and nuts as their main food source. But I will agree you can get more to fill the freezer with in the more southern parts of the country..

Just saw the post. Those are some heavy weights for sure. 150 lb deer here is good and 250 is the largest I have seen here.

Ya, these deer sure are impressive. The biggest I've been a part of was a guys 191 lbs 9 point he shot in archery. Tough drag out that's for sure. Then we've taken a couple in the 160lbs range in PA.
