Your tale is what we call third hand information, my friend.

Still...don't do that.

Skippy, I have forgotten more than you know about this subject, I am not in the habit of calling rumor fact and I am not a liar. One more thing, I am not by any stretch of your imagination, your friend!

Last year I glassed a hunter on public land walking along a field in front of my tree stand with a brown camo hunting coat and a white back pack. Stupid people are everywhere.

A long time ago I hear a hunter shot himself accidentally because he dropped his rifle. That was brutal.

So in other words literally every accident is caused by stupidity or lack of awareness. Man, that's awful.

There are NO SUCH THING AS SHOOTING ACCIDENTS! In our hunter ed classes we refer to them as shooting incidents. Each and every time the incident can be caused by carelessness. 1. Always leep your muzzle in a safe direction, 2. Identify your target as a safe and legal target and 3. Identify your target AND what is beyond.
Follow these 3 simple guidelines and you will not have an incident.
