Never used one myself, but I've read that does and coyotes will respond pretty consistently.

Keep 'em all in the Bull.

I can tell you one tning, I tried a fawn distress really late in the hunting season last year. During the January portion of the 'doe' season in Missouri, mid-day, while dad and I were at the truck eating a sandwich, we were talking about the coyotes in the area. I pulled out the distress call and fired away for about 20 seconds. We then heard sticks and leaves busting down the bluff from where we were at for a few seconds, until an enormous buck came out, double grunting all the way, looking like he was going to kill something! Dad and I were so shocked and amazed about what was happening, we didnt even think sbout pulling out the video camera that sat a foot from us on the dash! The bruiser paid no attention to the wind direction, or even the fact that there were two giant pumpkins standing next to a large chunk of metal eating their butts off! He came within about 20 yards of us, walking from our left to our right, looking both ways as dad and I were still frozen in our tracks by amazement, and yes, just a tiny bit of fear! As he finally walked off, which seemed to take forever, but was only a few seconds, Dad and I thought we had found the Holy Grail of deer hunting! I hoped you have at the least enjoyed hearing about my little mini-drama, if not answering your question at the same time! By the way, dad and I have used this call several times this past year, at all times of the day, with no response at all! LOL! I hope you have better luck than I!
