New to Cornelius NC

Public land in the area can some one give me a clue of management areas nearby. have a lease and plenty of land in Jefferson but need a place close when I don't feel like driving 3 hrs . 2015-16 season

You have 2 options, a draw hunt at the Pee Dee National Wildlife refuge or the Uwharrie National Forest...This consists of several tracts and over 52,000 acres...
