Is there anything to the moon phases and their effect on deer movement? I have been hunting for years but don' t see much difference in deer behavior. If I hunt the field edges, the deer emerge later but other than that I don' t see much effect. Weather and pressure are the biggest factors and I can pretty much use them to my advantage.

Any insights that I can turn into venison?

Oh yes, there is a lot to moon phases. All animals, tides and humans are effected by the moon. It is sort of like building a high performance motor. Just one or two parts won' t make it the fastest it can be, but instead a combination of the right parts should. Deer hunting is the same way. You can' t just go on the moon phase alone. It is taking moon phase, weather and a lot of other factors combined that will better your odds. Good luck!! -- CDH
