what due you use
Of the guys that put in food plots , what due you use
To work up the ground.
Your ATV .or did you pick up a old tractor. ?
And did you make some kind of drag to rip up the
Ground, or did you buy some new equipment.?
I have a quad and a old 550 oliver that runs great.
I bought a new spike tooth drag for my quad. Plus
I have a old set that was cut down from a old horse
Drawn drag.
I picked up some old plows and disks for my oliver
The plows I don't have setup right yet for the tractor.
But they tare up the ground.

Massey Ferguson 65 diesel with 12' IH transport disk.
Massey Harris 444 with Allis 4 row corn planter.
Also have this Dearborn 6' pull type disk.
And a couple sets of wore out JD spring tooth harrows.
Also have a D17 Allis with a snap coupler mount field cultivator But haven't gotten it set up yet.

Must be city folk
trying to become hunters; trying to become farmers.
Hunted land owned by a farmer when I was young. I avoided using a tractor like the plague. Farmer use to keep a rifle on the rear porch, in case he came by and got a deer shot. That was all the time he had to hunt.
Can spend a lot of time being a farmer. Learned that when I was young.

We've also used an 4-Wheeler with an ATV disc for smaller areas further up into the Woods in areas tougher to take larger equipment into.....I think the fact that seeing a food plot grow and have all the a wild Animals use it is more enjoyable than the Hunting itself!
My Durana Clover Plot.....!

Love them old tractors.
Valentine you sound like one of my uncles.
He would tell this big story about his gardens he put in for yrs.
And all the work put into them. Weeding etc.
Then he said one day he got in the truck and drove down
The road and found this groceries store that sold all this stuff
And he never had another garden.
