Not sure. If someone else can' t answer the question, you should be able to find out from your state Wildlife Resources Commission. Sorry I couldn' t be of more help.

Yep,, they legalized the use of treestands for gun hunters a couple years ago. I seem to remember the accidental human wounding went down immediately!

i refuse to hunt with a firearm without being in a tree, less of a chance to be hit up in the air

Yes, hunting from a raised platform is allowed in Michigan during the firearm deer season with either a gun or bow. You can also hunt from a tree stand during muzzleloader season for that matter. If you choose to hunt with a bow during the firearm season for some reason, the hunter orange requirement still applies.
