The only time I have troubles getting up is after 3 days of week long hunt, it is like that 4th morning I need a little kick out of the fart sack. Then day 5 and 6 I am GTG. The rest of the time I spring up and hit the shower in no time. Got 9 months to sleep in and be late for work, so why waste on a day I can be in the woods;)

Usualy the excitement of going hunting gets me up without much hassle. But i have my days where i hit the snooze button a few times then rush around making up for lost time.

I am just the same way. I get so keyed up the night before it is midnight before I nod off, then 3:00 when I have to get up. A half hour of showering, etc. , an hour of driving and an hour of walking make for a heck of a commute to the stand!

Must be alot of old farts on here, getting up that early on a regular basis, that usually takes years of practice.

Hunting season is about the only time I have the motivation to get up at 4:00. Falling asleep is usually the hardest part, getting up comes easy when it' s time to go hunting!

Always have trouble finding motivation after 3 or more consecutive days of hunting to get out of bed by time. That first day though, I sleep with one eye closed and the other open looking at the clock. Just like Christmas Eve!

Usually by the third or fourth consecutive day, my hunting buddy elects not to hunt but I still do. It' s very tough getting out of bed when no one is depending upon you to meet them at such and such a time...but I always manage.

Northernhunter i am the same way the night before i look at the clock seems like once an hour. But the only time that i have trouble is about 3rd week of bow season when its really cold and raining buckets. thats when i am reluctant to get outta bed.

At 4:45 AM I' m just startin to hang my stand on the tree..so that you late sleepers push em past me on your way in..;)

I wish I could " sleep in" until 4:45. :) I' m usually up between 4:00 and 4:30am depending on where I' m hunting so I have time for my de-scenting rituals! The hardest times for me to get up is when I take extended leave for 3 weeks for hunting exclusively. Day after day of getting up early can start to get harder and harder with the passage of time. Add in the factor of leaving my wife' s soft, warm body to go out into weather that is usually cold and may include wind and/or rain increases the difficulty ;)

I gets up about 20 min before the sun comes up and in the woods by first shooting light no sence walking around in the dark :D:)
