yep, many, many times I learned long ago, during the rut, 10:00 till 2:00 is the best times, you'll see more deer early and late but you'll kill more bucks (nice bucks) 10:00 till 2:00

10. 2. And 4

I used to do that all day stuff when I was full of piss and vinegar. Now I go to the stand when everyone else is comming back to eat breakfast and warm up.

I've hunted from dawn to dusk many times but I don't have the patience to sit on a stand and do it. I'm good for 2 maybe 3 hrs in a stand and then I start to fidget. So I hit the ground and still hunt in the middle of the day and return to the stand in late afternoon. Looking back over the years, I've killed most my game still hunting. That's probably because I tend to be more focused when I hunt that way. My mind tends to wander when I have to sit still in one place for hours on end.

Yep, pack enough to stay warm, water, and some sandwhiches and spend the day out.

I prefer to still hunt but my main hunting area is crowded public land, so all day sits, whether in a climber or on the ground, are my usual method. If you've scouted the area and do all day sits, it becomes easier determine a spots productivity or lack thereof.
It's also nice when other hunters moving about send game your way.

Yes, more times than I can count. But only during gun season here in Illinois more times than not. And as others have said before, the hrs of 9-3 will be more productive than not. Unless it is during the rut. Than all day is a good time.
