Default wish we had deer like this in SC

Friend of mine just got back from Saskatchewan. Told him he should let those little ones walk.

I wish we did, too. I would like to hunt up there some day.
That's a hoss!

I don't live there, but I'm sure there are, or could be, deer like that or similar. They gotta live to 4 1/2 or more to get there.

Default Wishing for something that will never happen

That Canadian province has far fewer people and is much larger in size than the states. The deer there see fewer people, fewer hunters, fewer vehicle on the roads to hit them and still still has a lot of yearling bucks. Will never duplicate that in SC or any state.

Just moved to SC and am a avid deer hunter. Hunters need to get involved and get some better game manigement here. The quota is too lax and no check in stations ? Really? The coyote problem is completely out of control too.

Not really that big of a deer, nice deer but my brother has killed bigger up there...

You couldn't pay me to live there, the weather is brutal!!!

Enjoy and appreciate what you have, killing a deer with a nice rack doesn't make you more of a man...

While we are at it, this deer was killed by a buddy of mine in eastern NC...So why can't deer like this be in SC???

So many wish for deer like that but won't pass up little spikes and other much smaller racked deer. Spend tons of money on every new gadget that comes out on the market thinking that is the majic that will get them one of those monsters but not a dime on habitat improvements.
