IMHO it's a young buck that has a ton of potential if nobody shoots him for a year or two. If they do, he's still a very nice 10 pointer as he stands!

fastetti 08-17-2014 01:10 PM

Good Young buck, if he would be your biggest, shoot him, if not, let him try and grow another year or two.

falcon 08-17-2014 01:47 PM

That young buck still has the long legged look. He lacks the heavier body of a 3.5 year old buck. He's 2.5 years old: He also has some great genes.

iayotehunter 08-17-2014 03:37 PM

2.5 100" give him 2-3 more years

illiniquack15 08-18-2014 05:20 AM

2.5 not much over 100". Pretty neat deer tho

buckman11 08-18-2014 07:43 AM

He's 2 - 2 1/2 id say. wont score much over 100, maybe 110. but as big a buck as he is now i can only imagine how big he'll be in a couple years. still a very nice deer.

buckman11 08-18-2014 07:45 AM

you always run the risk of him gettin hit by a car, diein of natural causes, or gettin shot by someone else. so if it were me id shoot him the first chance i got. it will make a nice trophy, plus some good meat in the freeser

Wilcam47 08-18-2014 08:07 AM

Id say 2.5 as well...look for his daddy...I bet hes a beast if he's still around.

Agreed:). On all counts

browtine7 08-24-2014 05:20 PM

I would agree with everyone on this. 2 year old around 100 inches. I would give him 2 more years

kslivstkbroker 09-01-2014 07:26 AM

What state are you in the buck is most likely 2.5 but wont score over 90" he has got great potential let him spread his genes he probably wont get to breed any does this season so let him live !!! If he is on some property you own or lease I'm with wilcam look for his daddy he is around or look for that old buck that needs to be killed (on the down hill slide) he's not worth mounting yet !!!if you want good meat kill a doe or a cull buck let the young ones live !!! Id rather kill a 3.5 or 4.5 yearold 4pt with no potential than kill a good one like that !!!You cant shoot the big ones if you don't let the young ones live!!! That's the difference between killers and hunters!!! :confused0024:

dbllunged 09-01-2014 07:39 AM

Man that is a dream buck for a 2.5 year old. Another 2 years he will be real dream buck. Agreed not more then 100" but has great potential pending good future antler growing years like this one.

A wet Spring and early Summer will always produce deer like this.

VTBoneCollector 09-01-2014 04:41 PM

I'ld say he's 100" and is 2.5 years old. He still has that slender body. But wow, a lot of potential.
