I keep a .22 in the armrest of my vehicle good for varmints and the cats that get dumped in the neighborhood. I suspect they're dumped, as the closest neighbor is a mile away and they don't claim them.

I'm in the same situation... My nearest neighbor is a mile away. Since I grew up in a town my idea of a neighbor may be a bit different than yours

I'll sometimes carry my Ruger Single Six in the woods, and have occasionally popped a grouse with it, but mostly, just like the other pistols that I sometimes carry, its just added weight on my hip.
