I've been keeping up with your saga for awhile now and I have very much enjoyed it. I good ending to a long season, wouldn't you say Taz? I can't wait to here your 'saga' next year. I'll name it, "The Bowhunt Continues". Next year is your year to get one with a bow. No doubt about it. Congrats on your buck. You deserved it.

johnny saga is not the word for it, this year seemed like the never ending story..... more deer seen, some of the biggest bucks I have ever seen, dogs, spooked deer, deer out of range during bow, one missed bow shot due to me missing my anchor point, one spooked 8 point due to a low hanging limb with dry leaves that I rustled with my bow, one monster buck missed at 100 yards due to 2 stupid little 1/4 inch leafless saplings that deflected the shot, the farmer shooting at geese on his pond right at the magic hour. I have put in over 100 hours just hunting. I am not counting scouting time. I will enjoy this little buck, but man it sure seems like I deserved better, maybe this is a build up for next season. I have killed a lot more deer and far larger bucks over the years and put forth a lot less effort than I did for this little guy. Do not get me wrong I still thank the little buck and the Lord for my harvest, but man I sure busted my rear getting him.

Congrats Taz...nice story, nice ending. I used to love to hunt in fresh snow. It really does something to you senses. The quiet, crisp air, and white blanket. You can't beat it!

TAZ, remind me which caliber you shoot with.
Drop-n-Flops are the best kills.

Keep 'em all in the Bull.

Bulzeye I shot him with a 30-30 150 grain core loks! Finger hole in, 3 fingers out! Knocked him flat at 45 yards, he didn't even kick! Both his lungs were mush and all the arteries to the heart were mush also, I was amazed the heart did not even look bruised.
