Here's my heaviest. 236lbs. And another heavy buck my buddy got. An old buck with a depleting rack. Both from Sullivan County, PA.

Genetically, I think we can run with the best of them. Just let them get old and nature will take care of the rest.
We definitely have them! A friend of mine just got a buck that scored around 182. He was a 17 point and was taken just down the road.

This buck was killed near Manhatten, KS in 2001. That's a Dr. buddy of mine who killed it on a large lease he used to have there near Manhatten along the Tuttle Creek Resevoir. For scale the buck was a 9pt, grossed in the upper 160s & Doc is 6'2" & was around 270#s back then. Doc kept asking me what I thought it weighed? I told him I had NO idea as Id NEVER in my life been around a whitetail with a body THAT large! We checked the buck in at the game dept headquarters there in Manhatten & the officers estimated that the "summer peak weight" on the buck would've been in the 400-410# range.

These bucks are cooler than a big racked buck. I'll bet the bucks in my trail can could beat the Hanson buck to a bloody pulp.

Ill have to see if I can find the newspaper article. It was in Urbana Ohio in Champagne County if someone wants to try and look it up. They named him the "Dollar Buck" because they said you could have laid a dollar bill in between the toes on his hoof.

I only got to see it because my parents rented a house from the farmer that had the deer on his property.

I once saw one on the hoof like that 2nd buck pic, I'm sure he was over 300lbs on the hoof, probably 300-350lbs I'd guess.

Saw one that fits that description at a butcher in Luzerne County a couple years ago. Not sure if it was the same one. Don't want to give away spots. Especially since that buck was taken near our cabin.

My paternal grandfather and half-uncle (two different guys, I'm not from Arkansas) shot a 300-pound mulie together in California in the '60's.

I saw a 175-pounder at a check station here once in the mid-90's.

The biggest I've ever had my actual hands on (or were in on the getting of) weighed 151 pounds, field-dressed, last year. My son shot him.

It took 26 rounds (long story).
