Is my buck a 6 point or an 8?
#72

OK, I'd LOVE for everybody who posted on this thread to look closely AGAIN at the buck we're talking about, then tell me it's an 8pt. I'm not concerned about the scoring proceedure, which some think makes that an 8pt. If that were my buck, I promise you I wouldn't be telling my buddies I killed an 8pt. The buck in that pic has 6 points, which really answers the original question, "is my buck a 6pt or an 8pt".
We did really run with this, but it's been fun.

To add to that, I could not check that buck in as an eight point in VA and not feel guilty about it.

You know, as funny as this might sound, I was thinking about this particular thread and wondered if this isn't a good example of why our Government doesn't get anything done?

First of all it would be illegal as the points must be at least an inch. Second, how do we know there were not more points? Could have been a 9 point for all we know.

Keep posting all your ridiculous comments and the thread may make 12 pages, LOL! When are you going to get it through your head that the tips of the beams do not have to be 1" in length to be scored as a point, which makes this deer an 8 pointer. Are you that dumb or just trying to add to your number of posts because the B&C rules for scoring are very clear regarding the OP question and you are turning this thread into a debacle!!!
