Where to sit when it's raining

I'm trying to find the best spot for me to sit tonight and it's raining. Any suggestions?

It depends on how hard of a rain you're talking about. If it's not a downpour just hunt in it. I like a light rain/drizzle when hunting. My camo is waterproof. :happy0001:

What I mean by sit is is it better to be in a woods? A wetland? A crop field? Idk

Same places you would hunt in clear weather. The deer may bed down though if it's pouring down and windy

I'd find some thick pines if it was raining very hard.
Light rain doesn't matter.

I don't like deer hunting in the rain. I worry about the blood trail being washed away and loosing the deer.

I would be sitting in my recliner at the house.

if you are a good shot it wont go far...
To OP--depends on how hard its raining...but I like sitting at the base of a tree...opposite side of the rain...it blocks the wind and rain...

When it is raining, the deer are in the heavier bush. They don't like getting wet either. Move real slow through the heaviest stuff you can find, and you will find them.

I guess you haven't hunted enough to know even VERY good shots have goofy things happen and the arrow doesn't go where it is supposed to go. Most of my deer die where I can see them go down, but sometimes.........

With gun(light rain)stalking time.Bow I'd forget it.

In a ground blind, And if your tree's still have some coverage of foliage on them. Under the tree.

I killed a nice 8 one time just walking around in the woods in the rain with half a bottle of doe in heat on my coveralls.. I was only about 12 and never asked if I should wear it or not. I just know I smelled bad but it was part of hunting. He ran down the mountain grunting like heck. I hip shot him at about 2 feet. Hes now on my wall.
