I used to have a lucky jock strap when I was in high school, man, every time I wore them I'd have the game or the match of my life. But then 15yrs later, that old jock would be none to fresh by now, so I don't wear it. Still have it, tucked in my old locker bag along with my football cleats, wrestling shoes, singlets, lineman gloves, track spikes, etc. But I'm not wearing it anymore, because it's not useful anymore.

That old stand isn't useful this year, for whatever reason.

I'd be a lot more worried about infringing on your uncle's spot if that's "HIS STAND" and you sneak in and take a bruiser out of it on a day he can't be hunting. Maybe he won't care, maybe he will. That's the dynamic between you and him, but I'd sure care a lot more about that then sticking to the same old spot knowing it's not going to produce.
