Sorry to bump an old thread but if you have that harness connected above you, what happens if the tree snaps because of the wind? We have small pine trees in my club and I'm more worried about the tree snapping from high winds then I am about my new summit climber failing.

If it's blowing hard enough to snap a tree, I wouldn't be up in any kind of a stand due to the safety factor as well as it being too dificult to make a good shot on an animal under those kind of conditions.
