Default What do you think this "growth" is on a buck that went past my camera?

I got a video of a small buck passing by my Bushnell Trophy Cam the other day with a large mass growing on his shoulder. I figured I'd post this here, see what folks think it is, and see if anyone has seen something like this before?

My guess is that it's been shot with an arrow due to the shoulder location, but I've had someone else suggest cancer/tumor.

What do you think this is??

Here's the video of the little guy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oeAependVhI

I'm thinking a tumor/skin tag of some sort. Doesn't look like it's affecting his mobility or anything.

That was my first reaction, figured maybe there was still a broadhead up against it's shoulder blade or something...

I'll be the first to admit that I'm no expert on cancer. From what I do understand of it the apparent symmetry of whatever that is doesn't seem to match the radical growth of a cancerous tumor.

I shot a doe before that had something like that on her leg. it wasn't as big but it was similar. I cut around it and all just to see and it was just like a hard mass of tissue and blood really that's it. So I guess its just some tumor type deal.

I guess one of my dad's buds shot one with an injury, was infected, had a huge lump on it with an arrow inside. I guess the entire deer was infected & sick - all the meat was bad.
