I used a 308 for the first time last season and hit a doe at 270yds.. it took a few more steps then just fell over... few min later, the buck with it stepped out... wound up shooting him at about 120 yds... he dropped on the spot. I am totally sold on the caliber. I was shooting fusion.

I used a .308 for quite a few years and feel it is one of ( if not the best) cartridge for deer. I killed 20 + bucks with my model 760 Remington and think I used 165 gr bullets but not sure. Any how never had to track deer far and did not ruin much meat.
