BIG body deer pic
1 Attachment(s)
And this guy will look bigger when his winter coat and rutted neck kick in. I think he actually has a big rack, it just looks small because he's huge.
Very nice deer. I wouldn't say his rack is "huge" but definitely a big mature deer
He's a pig for sure.
Id like to see some more pictures if you get any. |
Rack isn't why I posted. Body size. And I think his body makes his rack seem smaller than it is. :D
Wow, that is one big deer! Must have some pretty good food.
Deer on our side of the lake get turnips, apple, clover and a few people's corn feeders to beef them up. This guy is over a mile on the other side in a vast area of swamp and overgrown clear cut. Not sure what he's been eating, but it doesn't look like he missed many meals.
Now there is a hoss buck! I agree he hasn't missed many meals! Hope you catch up to him.
That is one FAT buck! I agree, his huge body makes he rack look smaller than it is. What a hog!
I don't know. I think if that buck gets harvested, your gonna see that the rack is pretty good size. Bring that body mass down to a average size buck and the rack to me anyhow seems like it would score nicely. Whatever that deer is eating, he's eating allot of it.
I'd love to harvest his ass, but I'd hate to drag him out of the woods LOL. |
I see a lot of venison,what a pig.He'd look great in my freezer.lol
Darn they put horns on a COW!

Yes, it's a deer so they are antlers. But we sometimes say horns, too. Slang.
Old man. Prolly be a tad tuff to eat.
I think that rack would be real big holding it in your hands.
Probably has mass as big around as my forearm but you can't tell with that giant body. Hope you get more pics. |
Yeah, if that rack was on a 150lb buck, it would look impressive. Now it looks like Barry Bonds' big helmet on his equally big head. :D
Too big to drag out. Leave him be :happy0001:
That's a hog!
That's a big boy! Have you seen him again recently?
Pulled it yesterday. Had a big, mature and a nice 6 point, a few does but not this hog again. My buddy hunted the stand and only saw two doe.
you might be getting a bit of an optical illusion. i have similar pictures in reverse where the rack looked huge as the buck was approaching the camera. that being said i do think that is one massive buck just looking at the general configuration of the body and the rack is a dandy i am sure.

Put a saddle on 'em!
Saddle? Na, bareback. Grab his antlers and hold on. 8 seconds. :D
Jesus that thing is a beast!

I gotta say, this does prove that deer can really shine when they get some age to them.
This guy is in upstate PA. A big woods, mountain deer. These bucks have long had a reputation of being 150lb spikes and 4 points. When the game commission instated antler restrictions 11 years ago, I wasn't a fan. But I've really seen the difference. We have numerous bucks over 200lbs and a couple every year in the 230-250lb range. Last year, someone got a 300 pounder (weighed) on our property and now this guy shows up. I'm also seeing non-typical bucks every year now and more and more bucks with G4s. Sure, it's harder to get a buck than it used to be. But the chances of getting a real hoss have never been better. |
Michelle Obama would want to limit his consumption of sweets & sodas

The drag out would kill me, I'd have to quarter him on site.

The drag out would kill me, I'd have to quarter him on site. Wouldn't be any worse than an 800lb black bear on the bottom of a mountain....when you're parked on the top. |
I hope you get some more pictures..
You done any scouting around there? Just look for fully grown trees rubbed and broke in half and a tracks that's are 6 inches deep. The biggest buck I have ever seen was very similar to this one, I got a good look with the binoculars from about 75 yards. Was amazing really. Looked like a bull with antlers. From a distance you could tell the rack was alright, until you looked at it in the binoculars. His mass was absoulutely unreal. The huge body made the rack look so much smaller than it really was from a distance. Good part is that he was about 500 yards from one of my stands. |
The trail camera is on a tree right next to one of our tree stands. This deer was standing 20 yards from it.
This is a spot we discovered last summer while scouting. Since then, we've gotten about 10 different bucks on camera. Plus a few bears and a coyote. My buddy saw 5 bucks from that stand in bear season and took a nice 8-pointer out of it in rifle. Yes, this stand has been thoroughly scouted. The clearing he's standing in, is one of very few in miles of thickly overgrown clear cut. It's swampy in there so the grass stays green longer and trees don't really grow. I think the deer like it as a little staging area. If I were my buddy, I'd be rattling and grunting from that stand this weekend. He never does that stuff, though. That buck will not back down from many bucks if a fight is brewing. So I wouldn't worry about aggressive calling. |
Agree, that thing is a whopper....and he looks old. I bet he's 2x the weight of the biggest buck I've ever even seen. Around here a 150lb buck dressed is a monster, and the avg buck dressed is 110-130. Good luck, hope he slips up on you guys.

The biggest buck we have weighed was a buck we called Czonka. We watched him for 8 years and our neighbor finally shot him last year. His live weight was 295-305 pounds. Estimated, obviously, because the guy didn't drag him out with the guts still in him. :D This deer is much bigger than Czonka was. I'm thinking he's at least 350lbs. I hope to find out. :) |
LOL, Czonka. I guess you gotta name this one Refrigerator Perry :D
A couple names going back and forth are Phat Pig and King Kong Bundy :D I like the fridge, though. That's good.
I'd be afraid to bowhunt this buck. He may charge like a cape buffalo. Maybe we should wait until rifle season. :D |
