Obviously a BIG buck, congrats to your neighbor. I only have one question about that deer. How is it that his neck is so thick this early in the season? I realize that's a big bodied buck, but that neck is rut swolen!

Illinois and no, the rut doesnt ususally heat up until early November.

I saw a nice 8pt shadowing a couple does recently. He wasn't super intrested but he was following a bit and then moved away.
