this is the last one I built, was for a property, but then lost access to it, so ended up selling it
was built to last for 50 yrs LOl
6ftx6ftx6ft inside at lowest point with a 6ft8 peak
had pressure treated wood for all framing and flooring , also NO nails at all, all coated deck screws, so in case any part got damaged it could be un screwed and replaced!
spent a LOT of time in blainds over the yrs and tried like heck to add everything I could to make it as usefull as possible
even had it on skids, to be able to be dragged, and then used OSB for walls, that was coated with roof coating and then painted and then some camo like finishing
was fully insulated too
went with a tar rolled roof, over metal to keep it more quiet in rains and hail
had adjustable made sliding lift windows
was an awesome blind, but HEAVY< maybe like 600+ lbs or more I would think
I set it up about 30 inches off the ground, as it was built with the spot its in , but when I lost the farm there, I needed to remove it and found selling it worked best?

This is 4'x5' 8' treated 4"x4" skids and corner post setting on them. Floor is 2"x6" non treated inside for my 200+ pound body. side walls are 1/2" OSB stained with Home Depot returned stain at $5.00 a gallon. Roof is 1/2" OSB covered with corrugated steel.
Since it is on skids I can tow it with my 400cc 4x4 ATV to where ever I want it.
This one is 5'x5' is 8' in the air treated 4"x4" skids and corner post, land scapeing timber post in the center. Inside floor is 2"x6" untreated inside and treated for the porch. Walls are recycled corrugated steel as is the roof.

I like being at least 8' up because then I am shooting down and have a good view. Also feel safer high as most city slickers shoot down in the ground when they go deer crazy. With the last one I could not see down the valley if I were just a tiny bit off the ground.
