Think He Nets P&Y? (pic)

I figured he could have broken 130 last year when this pic was taken. He'll be a year older this year but haven't seen him yet. He usually starts showing up when the rut starts heating up.

Looking like good genes. I personally don't get into P&Y classing but would love to mount him above the fire place.
He looks really semeterical so I do believe he will net P&Y with very little deductions. With that said I m not a fan of the deduction thing. If he grows it then count it. I like the buckmaster scoring better

I'm not a fan of the net thing either. We have had a few bruisers over the years that were a little irregular.

Definite P&Y
How old does he look? Think he's got potential to be bigger this year.
I would score it from a ladder because it would be up on my wall!!! :D
I bet he puts on 10 inches of mass alone this year. Wouldnt it be nice to get an official score after his rack is dried out!?
yes definitely p&y net sore is bull the guys in our group go by gross score.
I think that he could make the P&Y net score. I prefer the gross score also, it gives you the true story, P&Y and B&C don't see it that way though!

Newbie question here but what is P&Y and B&C?
P&Y is Pope and Young. It's the archery record book. A buck has to net 125 inches to get in as a typical. Not sure about non-typical.
B&C is Boone and Crockett. That's the record book for all methods of harvest (including roadkills and found deer). Their minimum is 170 inches for a trypical and 195 inches for a non-typical. So, basically, I am asking if my buck will have more than 125 inches of antler after side-to-side deductions are subtracted due to asymetry. |
