Water works great. I place a kids swimming pool in my woods and fill it with a 50 gallon barrell all summer and fall..The deer love it. Place a stick in it so the critters can get out if the fall in so they dont contaminate the water.

Seems like when its dry around here they do come to our pond but mainly at night. Their prints are all around the edges so I know they come regularly. One day maybe I'll get one while coming there but not so far.

hunting a water source is a great way to bag a buck. all deer need good shelter, food, and water. usually water is the hardest to come by unless you hunt in an area thats very marshy or always raining so if you can find and hunt a water source chances are at some point you should bag something.

Thanks guys!

Uh if your in south Florida meaning within Melbourne and south no. Down that way you have far too much of a water source and most them are constantly available year round for you to find a watering hole of the sorts.

At least hunting a water hole is ethical unlike hunting a high fence ranch
