I'm 39 now. I've hunted every year since I was 12 years old. 26 years in the woods.
I've taken a lot of Doe(s) over the years with our laws here in Michigan.
I'd have to guess somewhere around 140 some deer so far. It seems very high but when you look at 26 years in the woods and our efforts to balance the Doe heard. The numbers add up. Between 1988 - 1995 I can remember counting 70 - 100 deer in 1 field during muzzleloader season. And not 1 antlered buck.
It's 2013 and you can count 30 deer in the field now and 12 of them have horns. We like our situation now.

I have been bow hunting for 27 years and I have killed somewhere around 60 or 65 deer with archery tackle. For the past 10 years I have averaged 3 per year with a bow. I have absolutely no idea how many I have killed with a gun but I would think somewhere around 75 or so with a lot of them being killed in my earlier days as I now rarely pull the trigger on a gun unless its going on the wall. I have been doing this for about the last 8 years. I get plenty of meat with my bow and have no desire to shoot any doe's or small bucks with a gun anymore. With that said I would hope to end up killing 200 plus deer in my hunting lifetime. I know some states are 1 buck states so that would be a big factor in the equation.

This is really hard to say. I've been hunting since '85 and killed only one that year, for the next 8 years only killed 6 each year and since then I average about 9 a year. I still have a bunch of years to go before I hang it up. Lets say 20 I guess I willl kill around 500 deer.

I seen from the beginning this question would have too many variables.
My grandfather has probably well over 400, 81 and still gets out hunting just gets the grand kids and younger folk to come get the deer for him now.
My father due to lack of time being able to get into the woods for nearly 30 years has between 75-150. Might be a little high for him. He is 56.
Uncles and such would say with a little more time available to hunt and mid 50's they have averaged over their lives between 200-300.

Usually at least one per year, sometimes 2 for the freezer. It really depends on if I get my buck early or not depending on the deer. Huge bugs are kinda rare for my area but there are decent ones. I like to have 2-3 deer for the freezer and have no problem if they are all does. I am more of an opportunity type of hunter but usually let any smaller bucks walk and then take a doe if I see one. Really just depends since the area is pretty high pressure.
