Good afternoon,
I am new to the site and have been in Austin Texas for 1 yr. now. I have a couple questions but will try and be quick. Do any of you hunt without a corn feeder. Hope this question does not stir the pot, right now I am on a lease in lampassass and we all hunt over feeders. I would like to bring something different to the table. I was thinking about trying to find areas were 2 rock ridges met and try to hunt the junction of the two rock ridges just like I would if I was hunting in Mississippi hill country. The areas are all thick with cedars so it may be hard. I plan on going and scouding in the next few weeks. Secondly, to any of you hunt oaks that mixed in with cedars where it is real thick, if so do you set up on the ground or in the oak tree? Any and all help appreciated. Thanks in advance for the response.
