I have just been so busy. I did not have time to take my 9pt over there. Now she told me she will not be able to start on it until Dec.
Hoping by that time she will have two of mine to mount. I am hoping she can make him look great since I shot him through the temple but she is very talented.
Anyone else have a rack in their freezer still? Hope its not just me.

I think they can sew up the hide and cover up a hole as long as it isn't too bad....that or it will leave a scar or bare spot and You can show exactly where You shot Your Deer!
For the most part the Taxidermist will skin out the hide and send it off to be tanned and only the portion of the Skull where the Antlers are will be used on the Deers Form.....so a damaged or crushed Skull may not effect the finished Mount!

If you are really concerned about the hide and dont mind, you could always use a replacement hide. Many taxidermists have extras that they will sell you. I would think she would be able to stitch it up though.
