atv's are work horses, but compared to a tractor or 4x4 truck, they are tinker toys. I have all 3. The atv is a great plow an hauls it's weight and about 500 with no problem, but they dn't tow well at all. Tried to use my 600 grizzly to tow my truck, not so good at all.

You'll hear a lot about the Ranger from people on Forums, but I would consider the Commander that Can Am makes its a great vehicle for hunting.

I have a Brute Force 650 for hunting. It has plenty of power to get me where I want to go. It will pull the small trailer that I haul it in if I need to move something I can't get on the racks. I will not try to farm with it. The posters that suggested a tractor are right, in my opinion. A good used Farmall H or M or a John Deere B can be bought for $3,000 or so in the midwest. They will easily handle work that will ruin an ATV. UTV's are nice, but they were out of my price range and harder to haul to the deer woods.
