.243 ammo
I can't believe the ammo shortage on .243
I thought I was the only one that hunts with a .243 :poke: |
thanks for posting that. i hunt with a .243 and i was going to buy some more shells soon but i guess not. its the same way with .22 ammo around here every store has new shipments and they are gone within hours.

The .243 is one of the most popular rounds out there, plenty of people hunt with one...No shortage here in NC of .243 ammo...I always keep a few boxes of ammo for my guns, just common sense to do that...

I can get .243, .270 and .30-06 all day long. Its the .22lr, .308 and hand gun rounds that are impossible to get.
Im down to 40 rounds of .308 win and 500-600 rounds of .22lr. What will I do if the Zombies apocalypse comes tomorrow? |
Here in Iowa things are getting alittle better with ammo. Today was the first time in awhile I saw boxes of 9mm and 22lr. Of course I got a couple boxes :)

Crossbow Ohio.I'm just trying to figure out how do we field dress those zombies.

243 Win. ammo relatively easy to find here in central Alabama. About all that I have seen really tight is 223 Rem. and 5.56 NATO ....
Does seem to me that the ammo shortages have slacked off. Shelves at my favorite hunting store are fairly well stocked. A couple of months or so ago, they were pretty sparse .... evne the weird stuff was either gone or very low. For sure the prices have jumped. For some reason Bass Pro in our area is still running low on center fire. |
I have noticed the same thing until recently. This past weekend I visited a Gander Mt. store and they had several types of .243 ammo (manufacture and weight) but .30-.30 shells were almost non-existent.
