There are probably 20 other hunting shows that are worth watching on the Outdoor Channel, add to that the shows on Fox Sports North and the endless marathons of Duck Dynasty... I think there is plenty of other stuff to watch if you want to see real hunting-type shows on TV.

Of course, now that fishing season has started (in states where there is a season)... those shows are getting pretty good too!

I agree. This show does us no favors. Rather offensive.

The first time I watched it I was most bothered by the annoying Yankees more than anything. But to be honest, the shows grown on me. I realize it isn't slick, polished, PC & perhaps doesn't always put hunters in the best light. BUT perhaps that's part of the allure! No pretentious, camoed up "professional rednecks" like so many of today's hunting shows.

As for the "suburb hunting ain't real hunting"... what is "real hunting"? They are shooting wild whitetails with their bows, that's real enough to me. That's just another type of hunting, nothing more, nothing less than large wood lots & food plots in rural America. They are hunting in their local area, it's what's available to them. Maybe they don't have the money to travel 1-2 hours every Friday afternoon to a lease?

I MOST enjoy the lack of commercialism!!! I simply CAN'T stomach most of today's outdoor shows because of the blatant commercialism, CT doesn't have that problem. Heck some of their camo & equipment is nearly 20yrs old, I like that and yes, THAT'S real hunting! Another thing
I LOVE about the show is its NOT about the antlers, they've yet to say one thing about a deers score, age or anything else like that. They are HUNTERS instead of "armed shoppers"!!!

For once Valentine, I have to fully agree with you!!!!
I have watched the show a few times and amongst the things mentioned above, I am annoyed with their public display of the harvested animal on a rack, on a pick-up truck, that they are trying to be non-chalant within the publics eye of their accomplishments. Why not just put it inside the truck bed and no one is the wiser of their doings? My .02 cents here on it.

I like the show ya obviously some of it is staged and you know those guys aren't as silly as they act think about it if they were so dumb and redneck how would they obtain permission to hunt at these places because I doubt their leasing considering the average home there is 2.3 million and I doubt a couple hundred dollars would get their attention . Also the great thing is they don't only kill 200 inch deer like every other deer hunting show where they let em straight out of the cage . The show is kinda of comical and their not trying to sale you a bunch of bs. Most anti hunters already have preconceived notions about us anyhow I seriously doubt that this show would sway opinions just my .02 cents
