Default The things we do

Well just got home from work, have to work the last day of the season (the first) so that means that tonight i'm gonna pull an all-nighter, get out there super early and try and bag a buck. Haven't got one this season so wish me luck! Might take a doe if i see a good one cause a friend wants the meat.

Anyone else bummed about season's end?

We have until Jan 26 in my WMU (5-D), and I've got one antlerless tag left! So, I get a chance to hunt in the snow!

I personally love venison but I know a couple guys that hunt that do not eat deer meat. So my question is do you think its wrong for them to hunt deer?

Wow browtine, I don't know any White-tail hunters that don't eat venison, it's healthy & delicious: Venison, meat of the gods. Anyway good luck hunting jf09!

I love to hunt whitetails but i also wont kill more than my family and i can eat, I take three a year and i know a guy who doesnt hunt but likes venison so i get to do what i love a little more and get him a doe every year as well, everybody is happy, happy, happy lol. But i know guys who hunt and dont eat venison but they give it away to people who do, I am "ok" with that as long as somebody is eating it and it isnt going to waste.

Well no luck on my hunt but it was a good last day none the less. Saw a ton of squirrels haha so that was entertaining. Hope everyone else has good luck throughout the season's end.

I don't eat the meat. I might make some jerky, or grind some for burger in chili, but that is about it. Killed 3 deer this year and most was given away.

My wifes family raises angus cattle. Given the choice between a beef ribeye and a backstrap, its the ribeye every time. No comparison.
