Default Score Guess - I'll reveal score later.

This guy went down on Saturday in the area I hunted twice last week, but not by me They scored the buck and told me the score. Let's see who can get the closest.

I'll post the score, to the 1/8 inch, after a bunch of guesses.

He looks bigger to me. But they came up with 128 6/8ths. Maybe they missed a measurement.

I was gonna say low 130s (gross). Most folks just don't realize how big a 130" 8 is. You say, "130" and folks just don't think about that as being a big deer but if you say 140" 10pt or 150" 12 pt they ooh and ah, when in reality the frame of a 130s 8 IS the same as a 140/10, 150/12. I LIKE a big 8 over a decent 10+! It's all about the perspective IMHO!

Whatta body, what did that horse weigh?

That's exactly right, as it takes one hell of an 8 point to hit 150" and very, very few do! I would have guessed low 130s like one of the other posts mentioned.

130 class is a great guess as that's within an inch and an eigth. I would have guessed 135ish. It's a nice looking deer.

Whatta body, what did that horse weigh?
They told me only 184lbs live weight. The trail cam picture was taken 4 days before he was shot. We are post-rut so he may have been well over 200 in early October.

We get some really big body deer on our property. 250lbs and above is not rare. Shooting them is.

This is in Pennsylvania. I am proud to report that our state is no longer mass-producing 120lb spike bucks. We've come a long way since I started hunting in 1981.

Even though this guy's only a 6-point, he was a fat slob. On the decline when I got this picture. He had a lot more points when he was a 3.5 yo.
