What to do?
I am on an 800 acre lease that is planted pines about 20-30 feet tall and a few cypress heads. One head is large and runs the length of the property north to south. I have hunted on the roads with food plots and hunted around the heads but have seen very few deer. Does anyone have experience with hunting property like this because I know there are lots of deer I just can't seem to find where they are moving. There are rubs along the heads but scrapes are mostly in the pines. Do I need to hunt the pines? If so how would you go about setting up?

in the off season, walk the deer trails with a gps...after ya get done with walking "all" the trails, pull it up and find the choke points. deer trails are similar to a maze, 1 way in, and 1 way out, per say...find where the 1way in is or the 1way out, sit on the wind.

concentrate on the edges of terrain features. Deer love cut downs for bedding areas. They will often follow creek beds for movement and so on. If your not seeing deer, make a drastic move to the other side of the property. They are eating somewhere.
We had the same thing going on here on a property I hunt. Last year a ton of deer, this year the does had seemingly evaporated. We moved to the opposite side of the property and the season changed dramatically.

By other side do you mean an area I have not hunted because I have hunted spots in most of the property.
