Anyone seen the giant killed here in Illinois of late? It was killed about 12 miles from here and by a young guy. It was unofficially scored at 215, but I know his dad for we used to work together at the lumber company and he told me it has been scored by 4 different scorers and they have come up with between 217-220!!!! Has a 10" drop tine on its left beam and bases as big as a 40oz bottle!!!! And he was shootn a Mathews!!!! I forget the BH's. Great shootn Travis!!!! It was taken in Clinton County. I do not know how to post a pic, but the article was ran in the Breese Journal, a clinton Co. newspaper.

Kalmer bags huge 20-point buck
Published on Thursday, 08 November 2012 12:00
Travis Kalmer of Damiansville shot this monster 20-point buck while bowhunting in the Damiansville bottoms on Wednesday, Oct. 31. The deer field dressed at 209 pounds and was unofficially scored at 215. While there are no official records, many believe that the large buck may be a record deer for Clinton County. Kalmer has been contacted for an interview by Deer & Deer Hunting magazine and will be featured in a future issue.

Thanks guys for pulling that pic and posting for me. I just know how to kill deer, not post pics of them!!!!! LOL!!!!! His dad told me that it was either Cabelas or Bass Pro, I forget, called them within 3 days of Travis getting that monster and offered him 15K for it and his dad told them to take a hike. If its worth that much this soon, what will it be worth in a little bit. Now if it were mine and they offered me a full body mount AND the 15K, well we could maybe do some taking. Maybe throw in a shopping spree in the store for a bit and we would really be on then!!!!!!!

I have known these people since the mid 80's and they are FAR from the $$$$ as you seem to think. They are just hard working in lumber field as a family and farmers on top of that.
Besides, this is Travis's first nice deer of either buck or doe. The biggest he had prior to this was a basket rack 6 pt.
And what is this "Camo Warrior" you speak of? Travis is no bigger headed now than he was before. Just how he and his family are.
Its pure and simple that you are just jealous of his success and that it is not you. I am as well. But as I told him the other night at the farm, I hook his hand and congratulated him that it is better he get it and show the world what he spent the time in hanging his stands and making a great shot did for him or that EHD get it and not someone who found it out roaming the woods try to get fame for.
